For infants, baptism is the start of your child's exciting journey into the Christian faith and we are here to help you as you prepare for this important step and for the commitments you will be asked to make on behalf of your child.
For some parents, a thanksgiving service is often more suitable when they feel that they do not want to make the baptism promises, but still want to thank God for the gift of their precious child. We will be pleased to talk further about which service may be right for you.
For adults, baptism is a means of declaring your commitment to God and your decision to live His way, and a means of receiving His grace for the journey ahead. It also marks your full acceptance into membership of the worldwide Church.
The parish has an open baptism policy, with non-churchgoing parents being gently encouraged to attend church. Baptisms are generally carried out at family services. Baptism preparation meetings are held with the vicar or one of the other ordained staff and the Children’s and Young People’s Worker. Baptisms are only open to members of the Parishes.

We hold Confirmation Services from time to time for children and also for the more mature If you would like to be Confirmed please speak to the vicar for more details.
