Our aim is to bring children to Jesus, helping them grow in their faith, take their place in the church and feel valued there. Our children’s and young families’ work is one of the great strengths of our parish and many families have joined our churches because they see that their children will be welcomed and nurtured. Our activities take place in Wonersh and are also well attended by children from Blackheath as well as from neighbouring villages.
Children and young people are very important to us at Wonersh. As well as special services there are lots of fun groups for children and young people to join. Have a look at “Children's Groups" and "Youth Groups" pages for details of what they are up to. We are blessed to have 150 children and young people on our register, although not all manage to attend every week.
The churches reach a large number of children and young people from within the parish and the neighbouring villages. This work is one of the most exciting, vibrant and growing areas of ministry, with the good support from the congregation.
The work is overseen by our Youth and Children’s Management Support Team (YCMST).
We are always looking for new helpers from the church congregation. Maybe you are being called to join us in service to children. We urge you to be open to what God may want you to do in your life and we pray that you will experience a real joy and blessing.
