The tomb is of Sussex marble but bears no effigy or inscription, and the sockets on the sides that once contained the many brass shields are now empty.  This was evidently a person of consequence, probably the Lord from Great Tangley.   Originally in the South Chapel.

Wall tablet, white marble depicting a rose falling from its stem.  The vicar lost his wife and two infant children in so many months, from dysentery.  The vicarage was demolished shortly afterwards.
They are buried in the churchyard

Translation:-
To the honour of the Holy Trinity and in pious memory of Elihu Edmund Body, MA, Vicar of this church for 40 years, an untiring champion of the faith and of righteousness, Founder of the church at Shamley Green, this tablet was erected by his wife and his only son. Born Sept.29th 1817. Died Dec.7th 1899. R.I.P.

Manning & Bray state that the Clifton memorials are on the sides of the Gwynne monument, currently obscured by the organ platform.

There is a large tomb in the graveyard, previously in the Grantley mausoleum, with inscriptions on the top and all four sides.
