Welcome to St John the Baptist Church, Wonersh and St Martin's Church, Blackheath. For a lot of people, their first visit starts here, so this page is designed with new visitors in mind. We hope you’ll find all the information you need to make your first trip to Wonersh as easy as possible.

Everyone is welcome regardless of your background. We do not have any dress code. You will be guided through the service with a book and/or handout to help. Children are also welcome and we have a creche at our 10am Sunday service. The entrance and church are all on the same level so access for people with disabilities is not complicated and there is always help on hand. We have a loop for those with hearing aids. There are kitchen and toilet facilities (including a toilet designed for wheelchair access) in the entrance porch area.

Please let us have your details on the postcards in every pew so that we know who you are. Also make sure you get hold of our "Welcome Pack".
We’re always trying our hardest to say ‘Hello’ to new people who come and visit, or are thinking about joining us. However we don’t always quite manage to meet everyone first time round. If you feel we’ve missed you, we’re sorry. Please introduce yourself to one of the welcome team on the door, or to one of the church leaders. They'll introduce you to some of the members of the church, and you can find out a bit more about us.
There is a "Welcome Tea" for newcomers to our church at regular intervals. If you are new and would like to come to the next tea please contact us for details.

When you visit our church for a special service please do not feel you have to give any money - just enjoy the occasion. At Wonersh we do not take collections during services however there is a plate available at the back of the church for those who wish to make a contribution.
