Villages Wednesday Club

For those of us who are finding it more difficult to get out and about than we used to, the Villages Wednesday Club provides a welcome day out and the opportunity to meet people and make new friends.
The Club meets every Wednesday at Blunden Court in Bramley from 10am to 2.45pm and is open to residents of Bramley, Shamley Green, Wonersh, and the surrounding villages. Some members make their own way to Blunden Court or are brought by carers, but transport is available for those who need it provided by the Waverley Borough Council ‘Hoppa’ bus or by volunteers using their own cars.
We start the day with a welcome coffee and time to chat, followed by an activity such as a word game or quiz. At around 12pm a freshly prepared lunch is served followed by entertainment such as a musician, singer or local school choir. The day ends with a nice cup of tea. We provide support, information and companionship, there is the opportunity to use the hairdresser and every other week there is a pop-up shop. The cost of the day is £5.
The day is managed by Nicola Mendelssohn, and her deputy Sue Searle, and their vital team of wonderful volunteers. If you would like more information, or to come along for a taster session, contact Nicola on 01403 372747 or
